Lost Rambos is a 20min short documentary about tribal fighting in Papua New Guinea funded by the Guardian UK and Screen Australia. It’s a cinematic account voiced exclusively by Papua New Guineans, built around relatable characters who bring deep insight into the cultural intricacies of tribal conflict. To be clear it is not about glorifying violence or making PNG appear insatiably violent, but rather to create an authentic portrait which charts the dramatic impact of modern weaponry on traditional practices. The project is currently in post production and due for launch early in 2019.
